2025 IIDA HD Expo Product Design Award for Ultraleggera Chair

We are thrilled to share that our beloved Ultraleggera has been awarded the 2025 IIDA HD Expo Product Design Award in the meaningful category of Sustainability (Recycled Materials and Green Products). At Zieta Studio, we believe that responsibility begins with the notion of “less is less.”

The overriding goal of conscious consumption and, in a way, the quintessence of sustainable development is to choose durable, long-lived products that follow the rules of the responsible production process. Therefore, it is an honour for Zieta Studio to be mentioned during the HD Expo Las Vegas through the lens of green responsibility.

The spirit of Ultraleggera is rooted in the very definition of this award category. If we can express our expertise in materials, forming technologies, metalworking techniques, studies in ultralightness, and our respect for nature in a single object—we do so under the name Ultraleggera.

We believe in an ultralight and monomaterial future. We reject the overly large, over-scaled world in favour of tailored, custom-made metal structures. Our “bottom-up” approach and in-house production lets us have full control of material and energy use, enabling ultralight constructions tailored to specific requirements, designed to last for generations. Like Ultraleggera, they will not grow old—neither technologically nor functionally.
